We Lost Our Space

Due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control, after August, we have lost the space where we do our improv comedy shows, so we are needing to find a new space to do regular shows.

We are looking for a space that we can use for ticketed improv comedy shows on the 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month. It could be one of these options:

  1. A venue with a small stage and enough space to seat up to 50 people with theatre-style seating.
  2. An empty space we could do some minor construction to build our own stage and set up lighting.

In one of the following towns:

  • Coeur D’Alene
  • Hayden
  • Post Falls

We’re looking for either:

  1. A place we can pay a set monthly rare for rent and have full access to (our maximum monthly budget is $600 to start out), creating a space to call our own, through building a permanent stage and installing professional stage lighting. If we are able to get this, we would start doing shows weekly, rather than only twice a month. With the higher frequency of shows, we would be able to eventually work our way up to paying more in rent. We’d like a key so we can use the space without the need for it to be staffed.
  2. A place where we can have a guaranteed and indefinite reservation for the 2nd and 4th Fridays of every month, and rent out for $100/night for two hours, plus any setup/takedown time. Also with the opportunity to add more Fridays in the month in addition to the 2nd and 4th.

We’re looking for someone to partner with that’s purpose-driven and sees the value that comedy (especially comedy for families) brings to the area. We are willing to negotiate and be flexible.

We’d love to take this as an opportunity to partner with someone else who wants to build a live performance venue in North Idaho. Not just for comedy—but things like music, or other unique live entertainment mediums.

If you want to help keep comedy alive in North Idaho, and know of anywhere, please let us know! Please reach out to me (Noah), the Levity Theatre Founder, directly at levitytheatre@gmail.com. Let’s build something together.
