Who we are

Levity Theatre is a improv comedy club that is based in Coeur D’Alene, ID. Our website address is: https://www.levitytheatre.com.

Your contact information

We don’t give out your contact information to anyone, except for our instructors to contact you about classes, or to our administrators in case there is a complication with your order. We may use your email address/phone number in order to send you promotional material, such as news about shows, classes, and special events.

Levity Theatre does its best to ensure that all the information on its website is current and accurate. However, mistakes can occur in case you come across any mistakes please contact levitytheatre@gmail.com.

 Privacy Policy and Personal Information

You hereby agree that Levity Theatre and all companies affiliated with Levity Theatre are allowed to send you relevant information about Levity Theatre, shows, classes, and other activities made under the Levity Theatre umbrella.

 By agreeing to this Terms and Conditions, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

SHOWS

  •  No duplicate tickets will be issued to replace tickets that have been lost or stolen, and nor will such tickets be refunded.
  • We seat on a first come, first serve basis, and all tickets are General Admission, unless otherwise stated. Large groups should arrive early to assure the entire party will be seated together.
  • Every effort to admit latecomers will be made at a suitable point in the show, but admission cannot always be guaranteed.
  • Mobile phones and other electronic devices are distracting to other audience members.
  • Please do not bring outside food or drink into the theatre, as it can cause a mess. Water bottles are okay.
  • Only in case of a canceled show, a refund is possible. If you are unable to attend a show, you may gift the tickets to someone else, or contact us at tickets@levitytheatre.com to get comp tickets equal to the amount unused, purchased tickets.
  • Purchase of a ticket means you consent to film, photography and sound recordings which may include you as a member of the audience and its use in commercial distribution without payment or copyright.
  • Wardrobe is at your own risk, and Levity Theatre is not responsible for any loss or damage of personal guests belongings.

 Classes 

Payment + Refund Policy for Classes

  •  The student agrees to pay the full tuition price for the specific course/workshop.
  • Students agree that they will be held financially responsible for the total amount of the course/workshop tuition should they decide to drop the course/workshop at any time.
  • If a student drops out after the class start date, they may not receive their tuition back, but may ask that their tuition be held and used for a future class of equal or lesser value. A student’s tuition payment may be held for up to 6 months.
  • In the event there is a low number of signups for a given course, Levity Theatre has the right to reschedule the course for a later start date in order to make sure there are enough participants in the course for all participants to benefit from it.
  • In the event that a Student can not make it to a class session for any reason, they are not owed a refund for any compensation for the missed class session(s).

Participation + Conduct

  • Students agree to adhere to the expected behavior outlined in our code of conduct.
  • Students should be on time for class, and agree to show up to every class session.
  • In order to make sure the group is on the same level, it is allowed to miss a maximum of 1 class per course. If you miss 2 or more classes, you have to re-take the entire course to be able to proceed to the following level.
  • Participation in a course means you consent to film, photography, and sound recording, which may include you and its use in commercial distribution without payment or copyright.
  • No consumption of drugs, alcohol, or use of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) during class.
  • No wanton destruction of physical class space, which includes but is not limited to the walls, chairs, lights, doors, and other Levity Theatre property.
  • No inappropriate verbal, physical or sexual conduct with others students or the class instructor.
  • Do not bring uninvited guests to classes.
  • All students are asked to help foster a creative and supportive learning environment without distractions or harassments.
  • Levity Theatre is not liable for any injuries or damages of material and personnel that might happen during the course.
  • Since improv thrives off of support, students are asked to support their fellow classmates while in workshops by abstaining from eating, writing or reading text messages, using cellular phones, or talking while fellow classmates or teachers are talking.
  • Inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated and will result in suspension and removal from class without refund.
  • In the event of any dangerous, criminal, or violent behavior at Levity Theatre or related facilities this will result in termination. Termination is final and the student will not be permitted to take any further classes at Levity Theatre.
  • As an aside, it also helps us to run a fun workshop if you can turn up on time.

 SPECIAL WORKSHOPS

  •  The student agrees to pay full tuition price for the workshop. Placement is not secure until payment is received.
  • Students agree that they will be held financially responsible for the total amount of the workshop tuition should they decide to drop the workshop at any time after less than 20 days before the workshop begins.
  • If the student cancels the workshop, the fee will be refunded as follows:
  • 30 days or more before the workskop begins, we will refund 80% of your purchase.
  • Less than 30 days before the workshop begins, we will refund 50% of your purchase.
  • Less than 20 days before the workshop, there is no refund for any reason.
  • All cancellations MUST be written, and sent to classes@levitytheatre.com.
  • Students agree to adhere to the expected behavior outlined in our code of conduct.
  • Students must be on time for workshops.
  • In the unlikely event an international teacher is prevented in e.g. arriving in Coeur D’Alene and the workshop has to otherwise be canceled, Levity Theatre can provide a substitute teacher of as similar level as possible in order to still run the workshop as planned.
  • Participation in a workshop means you consent to film, photography and sound recording which may include you and its use in commercial distribution without payment or copyright.
  • No consumption of drugs, alcohol, or use of tobacco products (including e-cigarettes) during workshops.
  • No wanton destruction of physical workshop space, which includes but is not limited to the walls, chairs, lights, doors, and other Levity Theatre property.
  • No inappropriate verbal, physical or sexual conduct with others students or the workshop instructor.
  • Do not bringing uninvited guests to the workshop.
  • All students are asked to help foster a creative and supportive learning environment without distractions.

 CODE OF CONDUCT

 By participating in any event hosted by Levity Theatre, you hereby agree to our Code of Conduct.

 IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT ANYTHING:

 Levity Theatre does not tolerate harassment of any kind. If you have a concern or complaint, or are worried about the behavior of a fellow improviser, teacher, director or audience member, please talk to your teacher or the manager.

 We offer a variety of people you can talk to so that you can choose who you are most comfortable with. Your concerns will be listened to and follow up actions agreed and carried out where appropriate. All concerns will be addressed in the strictest confidence between you and your welfare officer only, and will not be communicated to anyone else in Levity Theatre without your permission.

 Talking to us helps us to continue to provide a safe and supportive space, and speaking up will never result in you losing places in shows, classes, or similar.

 WE ALSO ASK OUR STUDENTS AND TEACHERS TO FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES BELOW:

  • Improvise from a place of fun, love, kindness and respect for your fellow improvisers and audience.
  • Support each other, in and out of class. on stage and off stage.
  • Work together as a team.
  • Listen to your scene partner.
  • Collaborate with your scene partner, unless it is unsafe or demeaning to do so.
  • Collaborate with, rather than compete with, your fellow improvisers.
  • Respect physical boundaries and don’t do anything physically dangerous to yourself or your scene partner.
  • Respect sexual boundaries, on and off stage.
  • Safety, trust, and support are always more important than the temporary existence of an improv scene. So if in doubt, stop the scene, and you won’t be made to feel bad for doing so.
  • Risky subject matter in scenes is to be treated with full emotional intelligence, and your teacher is there to help you with this.
  • Help us to create an environment free from sexism, racism, ageism, or harassment of any kind, on and off stage.
  • We ask our students, teachers and performers to respect this at all times.
